OUR TEAM

A changing team

Office team update

Chloe has left the business and we are recruiting for new office staff. We would like to thank Chloe for her contribution and wish her well for the future.

Becky will also be leaving us at the end of the month to start her maternity leave. She will be a big loss to the office while she is away, but we wish her all the very best and hope she enjoys this exciting new chapter.

We all had to start somewhere.
Please be patient and considerate with all new drivers, office and warehouse staff while they learn the job and get up to speed.

Congratulations Tom!

A big congratulations to Tom on passing his HGV Class 1 licence – a great achievement and well done from everyone at Eezehaul!

Driver update

Several drivers are currently off sick, with some absences potentially lasting longer. We wish them well and thank everyone who is helping cover. Please keep on top of ePODs, clear photos, discrepancies and report any problems while still on site.

NEW CUSTOMERS

New customers on board

First impressions count

When we bring a new customer on board, it is really important that we look after them extra specially during those first few weeks. We want to give them the WOW factor and show them from day one that they have made the right decision choosing Eezehaul.

If you spot a problem, say something and get it sorted before it becomes an issue. We have worked hard to win their business, so let’s not stumble at the first hurdle!

HELP SPREAD THE WORD

Could this be our next customer?

Drivers – keep an eye out for new businesses while you are on your rounds. At every opportunity, give out one of the new A5 Eezehaul leaflets from your driver pack. One leaflet handed to the right person could turn into our next new customer!

OFFICE

Communication is key

Attention to detail makes a big difference.

When sending an email about a consignment, please start the subject line with the consignment number. It gives whoever receives the email an immediate reference point and means they can start looking into the issue straight away.

Include the important information from the start, be clear about what the issue is and make it easy for the next person to pick it up and deal with it.

GETTING THE BASICS RIGHT

Simple checks prevent avoidable problems

Reference yellow collection label
Reference label
Incomplete yellow collection label
Incorrect / incomplete

Please complete the FROM, TO and CON. NO. details clearly. Incomplete labels make it much harder to identify freight if it becomes separated, misrouted or there is a problem later in the network.

Orange returns label

Returned pallets – please label them

Any pallet being returned must have an orange RETURNS label attached. Write clearly on the label why it is being returned – for example refused by customer, damaged, incorrect goods or delivery not required.

This lets the warehouse and office teams immediately see why the pallet has come back and what action is required.
